PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
These additives, which can be in an organic or inorganic structure, are broken down with a suitable, specific and narrow temperature range and transformed into products with at least one gas, and foaming the plastic material to form a porous structure.
Blowing agents are widely used to achieve weight reduction and polymer saving in injection moulding e.g. automotive parts, plastic pallets and crates. Blowing agents may also be used to produce foamed insulation materials and to reduce sink marks in moulding applications.
They are mostly suitable additives for polyethylene, polystyrene, vinyl and polyurethane plastics.
